Ingredients
- 2 cups of rice
- 4 cups of water
- 1 tablespoon of oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 carrot, diced
- 1 cup of frozen peas
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon of sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- 2. In a large pot, bring the water to a boil.
- 3. Add the rice to the boiling water and cook for 10 minutes, or until the rice is tender.
- 4. While the rice is cooking, heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- 5. Add the onion, garlic, bell pepper, carrot, and peas to the skillet and cook until the vegetables are tender.
- 6. Add the cooked rice to the skillet and stir to combine.
- 7. Add the soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper to the skillet and stir to coat the rice and vegetables.
- 8. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until everything is heated through.
